General Eligibility Criteria

Every birth occurring within Indian territory or to Indian parents abroad (subject to consular reporting) is eligible and legally mandated to be registered within the prescribed timeline (typically 21 days).

General Documents Required

  • Proof of birth from the hospital / nursing home (Form 1 / Discharge Summary / Institutional Birth Report)

General Application Workflow
