Planning, construction, and maintenance of National Highways and Expressways
Enforcement and amendment of the Motor Vehicles Act 1988 and Central Motor Vehicles Rules (CMVR)
Operation of the nationwide unified Parivahan Sewa portal (Sarathi & Vahan systems)
Implementation of road safety guidelines and national vehicle fitness regimes
Promotion of green mobility, alternative fuels, and electronic toll collection (FASTag)
