Apex personnel authority of the Government of India overseeing the civil services (IAS/IPS/CSS), recruitment policy, Central Vigilance enforcement, civil service training, and public grievances via CPGRAMS.
Constitutional & Executive Responsibilities
Formulation and enforcement of service rules, conduct rules, and promotion guidelines for All India and Central Services
Management of apex civil service recruitment via UPSC and staff recruitment via SSC
Anti-corruption policy enforcement, vigilance coordination, and supervision of CBI and CVC
Operation of the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS)
Administration of central government pensions and digital life certification (Jeevan Pramaan) via DoP&PW
