Historic Maratha maritime bastion situated on an elevated promontory overlooking the Ulhas River and Kalyan creek. Constructed after Shivaji Maharaj captured Kalyan from the Adilshahi Sultanate in 1657, marking the historic foundation of the first Maratha Royal Navy dockyard.
